Percentage to CGPA Conversion
Many Indian universities award marks as a percentage, while job applications, higher education admissions, and scholarship forms increasingly ask for CGPA. Converting your percentage to CGPA allows you to present your academic record in the format required by the institution or employer.
The most widely used conversion formula in India is the CBSE standard: divide your percentage by 9.5 to get the approximate CGPA on a 10-point scale. This formula is endorsed by CBSE and accepted by most Indian universities and many international institutions for Indian students.

CGPA = Percentage ÷ 9.5
This is the official CBSE formula. It is also used as a general approximation by most Indian universities that follow a 10-point CGPA scale.
Reverse: CGPA to Percentage
Percentage = CGPA × 9.5
To convert back from CGPA to percentage, multiply by 9.5.
